They're Twins

Ok, I finally finished the other extremely pale faced doll. You can see I made her wear clothes like her look alike . Now,unfortunately, colorful baby has none. I must remedy that so no more babies until these have new clothes. Though these pale dolls are cute, they are made from cotton and don't sculpt as well as the craft velour. As you might have guessed, I have a new passion.

Past laurels

Well, so I will share some of my past projects that I like in the quilting department. This first one I did when Wendy and I took a class at a quilt show. It is a pattern by George Siciliano....(who most of you ask) a well known quilt designer amongst quilters. You can't believe how small these pieces are. This was my introduction to foundation piecing. Of course, purple is my favorite color, as many of you know. This turned out well, but I don't have it in the right place yet. I think I need to frame it.

My second doll..

Ok, this is way too much fun! Creativity is definitely an expression of control and freedom combined. You decide the color, shape, medium, texture, size, form, expression, and impression. Because it brings joy to yourself, who can say its wrong. As long as you do it for yourself it will always bring you joy. If you do it for others...its a crap shoot. This is my attempt to use a different pattern , different fabric, different size, different color, different expression, and leave a different impression. I learned alot with this doll. Next time sculpt first, embroider second, but always try something new so I can learn something new.

First day of blogging school

Well, I have embarked on a new endeavor...blogging. I was thinking about my sewing and crafting accomplishments that I am personally proud of  and how difficult it is to show my  family and friends all over the country what I am up to. Then, the light came on after reading another sewing blog...that's what I can do. Well, like anything you do that's new, it won't be perfect...yet, but it's a start. My first craft I want to share is my new endeavor in doll making. It is so much fun. She is from a pattern Dinky Doll . I don't have a name for her yet , so if you have any suggestions, feel free. Joy
